AnyDoc Scanner is a general-purpose document scanner that saves scanned images to your device's Pictures folder (Pictures/AnyDoc). This enables automatic cloud backup via Google Photos while keeping your document metadata secure.

- 6-digit PIN: Hashed with SHA-256 + salt and stored in encrypted preferences

- Document metadata: Titles, categories, creation dates, thumbnail images
Extracted Text
- OCR data: Text extracted from scanned documents for search functionality
- Metadata extraction: Dates, amounts, and other details extracted from documents

- Scan count (for free tier limit tracking)
- Last active timestamp (for auto-lock feature)
- Failed authentication attempts (for security lockout)

Why Document Images Are Not Encrypted
Document images are stored as standard JPEGs in Pictures/AnyDoc to enable:
- Automatic backup to Google Photos
- Access from gallery apps
- Easy sharing via Android share functionality
Your metadata is still protected: Document titles, categories, extracted text, and search history are stored in an encrypted database.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We Do NOT Share Your Data
AnyDoc Scanner DOES NOT:
- Share your data with third parties
- Sell your personal information
- Transmit document content to external servers
- Use analytics or tracking services
- Display advertisements
User-Initiated Sharing
Data leaves your device only when you explicitly:
- Share a document via Android's share function
- Enable Google Photos backup for the AnyDoc folder
- Contact support and choose to include information

App Uninstallation

- Preserved: Images in Pictures/AnyDoc (accessible via gallery)
- If synced: Images remain in Google Photos
Your Privacy Rights
You have complete control over your data:
